I'm super excited to share that the Artist Ceramics Material Pack Vol.1 for Cinema 4D and Redshift is finally here! This pack features 18 high-quality shaders, all designed with stunning 4k PBR .png maps to bring a whole new level of realism and detail to your ceramic renders. Whether you're a pro 3D artist or just love diving into 3D design as a hobby, there's something here for you.
But that's not all! There's also a version of this pack for Houdini, and if you prefer to use the textures in other DCCs, you can grab the version with just the PBR .png texture maps. Perfect for any 3D motion design projects, personal work, or client renders, these shaders capture the authentic beauty and imperfections of handcrafted pottery.

The Latest in CG & Motion Design
Kling: China's AI Video Model Challenges OpenAI's Sora
Kling Technology, a Chinese AI video model, has just announced its latest innovation, Kling, which rivals OpenAI's Sora in terms of video generation capabilities. Kling can produce high-definition videos up to two minutes long at 1080p resolution and 30 frames per second, featuring realistic motion and advanced 3D face and body reconstruction. This new model uses a diffusion transformer architecture and can simulate physical world characteristics, making it a significant competitor in the AI video generation space[1][2][5].
Cara: The Anti-AI Art Platform That Could Replace Instagram
Cara, a social media platform founded by photographer Jingna Zhang, has been gaining popularity among artists and creatives. Unlike Instagram, Cara explicitly rejects AI-generated art and focuses on providing a space where artists can showcase their work without the risk of it being co-opted by AI technologies. The platform's user-friendly approach and commitment to protecting artistic integrity have resonated with artists seeking a sanctuary where they can maintain control over their creations.
Cara has experienced explosive growth in the last few days, with its user base increasing from 40,000 to 650,000 users within a week. This rapid expansion reflects the deep frustration among artists with the exploitative practices of major tech companies and their desire for a platform that prioritizes artistic integrity.

Houdini 20.5 is around the corner.
So What is Houdini COP(ernicus)?
"SideFX Houdini Copernicus" refers to an exciting new feature that will be released in beta with Houdini 20.5. This feature is expected to be officially announced and detailed during a full day of technical presentations on June 19th, 2024, in Paris. The event is organized by SideFX, the company behind the Houdini software. The specific details about what Copernicus entails are still under wraps, but it is speculated to be related to the enhancement or overhaul of the Compositing Operator (COP) system within Houdini. Given the anticipation and the secrecy surrounding it, Copernicus is expected to bring significant improvements or new capabilities to Houdini, particularly in the areas of feature film VFX, game development, and commercial studio production workflows.
