Big news from Grayscalegorilla!

They've expanded their Plus platform, making a significant leap by eliminating the need for C4D to access assets. This change is a move towards a more platform-agnostic ecosystem, allowing members to utilize PBR textures and models in various software environments. They've also introduced material importers, streamlining the integration of PBR textures into Blender, Houdini, and Unreal Engine, marking a milestone in their commitment to a universal user experience.

OpenAI's DevDay Unveils GPT-4 Turbo and New Suite of incredible AI Tools!

OpenAI's DevDay saw a slew of exciting announcements, some of them are:

  1. GPT-4 Turbo: A new iteration of GPT-4 with a huge 128,000 token context window and knowledge up to April 2023.

  2. User-Created GPTs: OpenAI will enable users to build custom GPT models without coding skills.

  3. GPT Store: A future store for users to publish and monetize their custom GPT models.

  4. Assistants API: Developers can now build specialized AI agents.

  5. DALL-E 3 API: The text-to-image model DALL-E 3 is now available via API.

  6. Audio API: A new text-to-speech API featuring six voices.

  7. Copyright Shield: A program to defend businesses from copyright claims using OpenAI’s products.

New GPT-4 Vision API is awsome!

Luma Gaussian Splatting Unreal Engine Plugin Unveiled

Luma has released their official Gaussian Splatting Unreal Engine Plugin, which is compatible with version 5.3 of the engine.

The plugin offers several features, including the ability to include both NeRFs and splats in the same scene, crop and cull splat files, and merge multiple splats into the same file. It also supports relighting, but only on parts that are directly casting light, and does not support emissive lighting at this time

LumaLabsAI has released a text-to-3D called Genie.

In light of the recent surge in AI developments, it's worth noting that Luma Labs AI has released a remarkable new tool called Genie. This text-to-3D model generator operates similarly to Midjourney, where you can give prompts directly in Discord. Even more exciting is that, currently, Genie is available for free as it's in its research preview phase.
